The views were impressive, waking up to the sea right outside. I found the room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, but the portions could be larger. I appreciate places that keep things simple. I enjoyed my stay.
I received a text with a code for the room and there was no one there to greet me. The room was small for my liking. I would consider staying again if I found a better deal.

Had an awesome time at this place with my friends! We visited the local beach and checked out some great restaurants nearby. The location is perfect, just a short stroll to everything. The room was spacious and super clean, and the team was really friendly and helpful. Don’t miss the breakfast – it was delicious!
We did face a little hiccup with check-in since no one was around to greet us. It felt a bit strange just getting a note with room details instead of a warm welcome. But it didn't overshadow the fun we had!

I enjoyed my stay at The Burlington. The stunning views of Whiting Bay captivated me every morning. The self check-in was straightforward, and the full Scottish breakfast delighted my taste buds. A little more room furniture would have made things perfect, but overall, I had a lovely experience!

The Burlington in Whiting Bay offers a fantastic sea view from the ground floor room. The en-suite facilities met my expectations, especially with a requested bath. Liz, the owner, was incredibly welcoming. Our stay was dog-friendly, which made it convenient. The breakfast was delightful, with a good selection. I faced a few issues. There were cobwebs in the room, particularly around the window frames and ceiling. The loose toilet seat was uncomfortable, and the thin curtains allowed light to seep in early morning, disrupting sleep. Dinner had its ups and downs. while the food was tasty and portions generous, I found some meal discrepancies. Nevertheless, I felt the staff's friendly attitude made up for a lot. A bit more attention to housekeeping and room maintenance would elevate this stay.

The small double room was a bit dated and not as clean as I had hoped. the heating worked well, and I really appreciated the coffee and tea amenities in the room. The beautiful view of the sea was a highlight, making the stay somewhat enjoyable despite the room's shortcomings. The breakfast included was decent but could use improvement.

Stunning location with friendly staff
I enjoyed my time at this guest house, especially the incredible sea view from my room, which made waking up a delight. The beach was just a short stroll away, perfect for family fun, and the staff were super helpful. a little maintenance could really enhance the experience, as some lights didn’t work and a shower wasn’t easily adjustable.

had a lovely stay at burlington guest house. the view of holy isle is just fab, especially while having breakfast. the room was spacious and the bed was super comfy! the staff were really friendly and helped with local tips. loved it being right across from the beach!
only downside was the bathroom was a bit tight and could use a bit more light. also, some of the furnishings seemed a bit old and worn.

A Truly Memorable Stay with Great Local Flavors!
We had an amazing time experiencing the cozy ambiance and friendly service during our three-night stay. The chef, Duncan, provided us with invaluable local recommendations and crafted the most delicious breakfast. Don't miss the scampi and halibut pasta bake—it was a real treat!
